The METAL STRUCTURE Kaitai Shoki Nu Gundam is built from roughly 2,000 components, resulting in a dense, multi-layered construction that emphasizes realism and mechanical depth, with ABS exterior armor for sharp panel definition and an internal frame reinforced by die-cast metal and etched parts to create a sense of weight and structural integrity. Surface detailing is handled with precision through clean markings, accurate color separation, and subtle texture variation, giving the impression of a true machine rather than a display piece. A defining feature of the Kaitai Shoki line is its “constructed reality” concept, where the mobile suit is broken into functional layers, showcased through extensive hatch-opening gimmicks that reveal detailed internal mechanisms in a way that mimics real maintenance access points. Integrated LED lighting in both the body and display base further enhances this effect by illuminating internal sections, and at approximately 370mm tall, the model commands a strong presence without exaggerated proportions.
