The Master Grade Extreme high-end brand pushes the boundaries of mobile suit expression through a defined design theme and advanced engineering, with the third release focusing on the Mighty Strike Freedom Gundam. The theme, “Iridescent Expression,” is realized through mechanical core plating, including the first use of colored plastic mechanical core plating in Gunpla. Based on the MGEX Strike Freedom Gundam frame, the kit incorporates newly molded parts and enhanced frame-linked articulation, while the gold components feature multiple plating and finishing techniques alongside real metallic gloss injection molding to create varied gold tones. The kit also includes Kira Yamato and Lacus Clyne cockpit figures, a Lacus figure designed for the Proud Defender, and a standing Lacus Clyne figure that can be placed on the Gundam’s chest to recreate memorable scenes.
